This Centre supports national standards in English and French for describing, measuring and recognizing second language skills of adult immigrants and prospective immigrants for living and working in Canada.  This Centre also provides training for assessors to use the Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test.

This Centre is a not for profit company offering customized education, training and career resources.  It provides workshops across Canada and internationally in the development and evolving use of the Language Benchmarks.  Trainers from this company provide assessor training in using the Canadian Language Benchmarks Assessment and the Literacy Assessment.

FLS is located conveniently in downtown Lethbridge.  This Centre provides literacy classes and Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) programs for assessed individuals with benchmarks usually below 4.  The Centre also runs a continuous intake program focused on providing employability skills for newcomers to Canada.  This program is geared to clients who wish to enter the workforce as soon as possible. Vocational/Career Counselling for Permanent Residents is available from Counsellors at this language centre.

Lethbridge College

This service provider offers a wide variety of Language courses: International Students—Academic English as a Second Language, Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents,  Academic ESL, and Language Instruction for Newcomers programs just to name a few. A new program started in September 2007at Lethbridge College is the Youth in Transition program geared to the age group 16-24 who intend to improve their English skills and apply to Lethbridge College programs.
