FLS is located conveniently in downtown Lethbridge. This Centre provides literacy classes and Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) programs for assessed individuals with benchmarks usually below 4. The Centre also runs a continuous intake program focused on providing employability skills for newcomers to Canada. This program is geared to clients who wish to enter the workforce as soon as possible. Vocational/Career Counselling for Permanent Residents is available from Counsellors at this language centre.

This service provider offers a wide variety of Language courses: International Students—Academic English as a Second Language, Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents, Academic ESL, and Language Instruction for Newcomers programs just to name a few. A new program started in September 2007at Lethbridge College is the Youth in Transition program geared to the age group 16-24 who intend to improve their English skills and apply to Lethbridge College programs.
